What is the Canada Study Permit?
To obtain a study permit issued by the Canadian government is the only way to study there. A study permit is a document issued by the Government of Canada allowing international students to study at any of the Canadian designated learning Institutions. It is a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) which gives students the opportunity to study in Canada though for a temporary period of time. The study permit indicates the educational institution and course of study in Canada. An applicant must qualify certain requirements for the application.
Study Permit as an Opportunity to Permanent Residency
It is the dream of lakhs of international students in Canada to reside and work there permanently after completing their studies. In certain cases, the only eligibility for students to reside there permanently without any work experience is through the Express Entry categories. But the general norm is that students will apply for work and then a work visa to stay temporarily. Nonetheless, there are many options to apply for Canadian permanent residency after gaining academic and work experience in Canada.
